Top Dress: Fescue (Cool Season Turf )

This is to add crucial organic nutrients and seeds to an existing turf to improve turf health and thickness. This improves the quality of the soil for the turf and allows for water and fertilizer to reach the root zone more effectively. Crucial things to consider are the type of material used, timing, and application process.

Our Process

Time of this application

Fall: generally, right before aeration and over-seed or right after aeration and over- seed.

Material

We use certified organic compost from a local source. (80%)
We blend the organic material with a screened topsoil. (10%)
We use certified PGA bunker sand. (10%)
Blue tag certified Fescue seed is mixed at a rate of 25lb per half yard of material

Process of Applying

We use an Earth and Turf top dress machine so we can control the thickness of the product applied to the turf.
We use a chain drag to work the material into the turf area
We also use hand rakes and leveling rakes to work the product into the turf

Our pricing for this service is based on the square footage of Fescue Turf the customer has and can be tailored to the customers’ wants.
